About Tom Glason

I’ve spent over 20 years in B2B tech sales, a decade of which has been in senior leadership roles within VC-backed SaaS scale-ups.
My focus has been the scaling journey from Series A to B (and beyond), and I’ve been fortunate to hold roles as VP Sales & Operations at Trussle, SVP Sales & Marketing at Brightpearl and Chief Commercial Officer at Goodlord.

I’ve worked through many of the challenges that exist when scaling a high-growth tech business, both in the UK and US. I’m passionate about building high-performing, highly-engaged teams as well as creating the systems and processes for scale.

As a qualified coach and the founding member & Chairman of the London Revenue Collective, I love supporting other revenue leaders to achieve their professional potential.
What’s the highlight of your career?

Founding Scalewise. Having spent 20 years helping to scale other founders’ companies, it’s been incredibly rewarding to be able to build my own. It’s certainly given me a better appreciation of the pressures of being a Founder CEO but has also made me even more passionate about our mission. I’ve also loved the feeling of building something from nothing.

What’s the number one piece of advice you’ve ever received?

Understand your strengths and play to them. I’m a great believer in working harder to improve strengths rather than trying to improve weaknesses. In fact, if you ‘outsource’ things you’re less strong at, you gain much more leverage on your time. This is also great advice for businesses. Focus on what you’re great at and double down on this. Then call on external expertise to plug any skill or knowledge gaps.
